Go Ahead And Die naar Nuclear Blast voor plaat

Go Ahead And Die. Die naam zegt waarschijnlijk niemand wat. Toch zal daar snel verandering in komen. Die band heeft namelijk nieuws. Go Ahead And Die heeft namelijk een platencontract getekend bij Nuclear Blast. En dat is niet zomaar.

Go Ahead And Die is een drietal met zanger en gitarist Max Cavalera, bassist Igor Amadeus Cavalera en drummer Zach Coleman. De eerste is natuurlijk wereldwijd bekend van voorheen Sepultura en tegenwoordig onder andere Soulfly en Killer Be Killed.

De tweede Cavalera is niet de jongere broer van Max Cavalera waarmee hij in Sepultura speelde en die ook deel uitmaakt van Cavalera Conspiracy. Deze Igor is de zoon van Max Cavalera. Een opvallende lezer had natuurlijk al gezien dat het een bassist was en geen drummer.

Zach Coleman is ook geen onbekende in de wereld van de metal. Hij heeft met Khemmis veel naam gemaakt. Daarom belooft dit op voorhand al veel goeds voor de liefhebber van metal.

Igor Amadeus Cavalera laat weten: “We are beyond excited to sign with Nuclear Blast. They are definitely the right choice for this colossally heavy record. G.A.A.D. will deliver fast-paced, hate-fueled energy that hasn’t been heard in years.”

Zach Coleman voegt daaraan toe: “I could not be more excited to be a part of G.A.A.D. and to have the album come out on Nuclear Blast! I feel like we were able to capture (extreme) aggression with the record. It’s a mix of old school (think ’89 era metal/punk) style and newer sounds that reflect what’s going on around us. Protest and Survive!”
