Scene Queen staat erom bekend dat in haar metalcore, ook wel onder de noemer bimbocore aangekondigd, geen blad voor de mond genomen wordt. Dat blijkt met de nieuwe single van Scene Queen maar weer eens op een bijna instruerende manier.
Die nieuwe single van Scene Queen heet ‘Finger’. Ja, het is seksueel behoorlijk expliciet en, nee, het gaat niet over een anatomische les bij biologie. Of, misschien deels ook wel. Check die nieuwe track van Scene Queen, welke ook op haar aankomende debuutalbum Hot Singles In Your Area zal staan.

Scene Queen laat weten over deze single; “I wrote the song about my queer awakening. I also wanted to flip the script on songs written to sexualize women in a way that was for a man’s pleasure. I wrote this song about two women experiencing things equally. So the song is vulgar like any sexual song but with a woman driving the narrative about her own body and taking control of her own pleasure with step by step instructions.”
“Additionally, the song’s music video features a dance made to be accessible to anyone both sitting or standing. I wanted to feature that in the video because, as someone who struggles with POTS, I was at one point completely unable to dance like I do standing in the video. So I wanted something to make everyone feel included because sexuality and pleasure is something everyone can and should be able to relate to”.
Europese tournee
Scene Queen gaat met haar metalcore à la bimbocore ook langs de Europese podia trekken. Nederland staat daarbij ook op het programma. Dat zal zijn op 9 mei. Dan is Scene Queen, waarschijnlijk ook met deze single, te zien in TivoliVredenburg te Utrecht. Check hieronder alle data van die tournee.
