Ja, dat leest men goed. De veelvuldig bekroonde band Five Finger Death Punch komt met de tiende studioplaat. Dat gebeurt sneller dan menigeen had verwacht. Legacy, zoals die release gaat heten, zal namelijk op 31 juli gaan verschijnen. De kanttekening daarbij is wel dat het alleen om de digitale release gaat. Alle fysieke uitgaves verschijnen namelijk pas op 18 september.
De tiende studioplaat voor Five Finger Death Punch dus. Legacy volgt daarmee Afterlife op. Die plaat kwam in 2022 uit. Legacy zal gaan verschijnen met tien tracks erop. De eerste daarvan, ‘Eye Of The Storm’, staat inmiddels al even online. Met de aankondiging van de nieuwe plaat knalt Five Finger Death Punch ook een extra single in. Dat is ‘De Oppresso Liber’. “Every album is a snapshot of who we were at that particular moment in time, and Legacy is exactly what the title suggests,” verklaart gitarist Zoltan Bathory. “It’s a reflection on the journey, the lessons, the victories, the struggles, and everything we’ve experienced over the last two decades.”

We’re incredibly proud of this record because it captures everything people love about Five Finger Death Punch while also pointing toward where we’re headed next. Our philosophy has always been that this journey doesn’t come with a self-imposed ceiling. Every goal we’ve reached simply revealed another horizon beyond it. We never believed the sky was the limit; if anything, it’s where the true journey begins. Here’s to our shared legacy.”
