French metalcore band IANWILL has announced a brand-new single titled “Split Shape,” set for release on June 4. The announcement follows the band’s latest single “Phantom Feed,” which was released on March 25 alongside an official music video directed by Damien Dausch of Dust In Mind.

“Phantom Feed” showcased the band’s evolving sound with a mix of crushing riffs and atmospheric elements, while lyrically exploring themes of identity, social media, and digital isolation. The track featured production work from Lucas D’Angelo (Betraying The Martyrs, REVNOIR) and mastering by Mike Kalajian of Rogue Planet Mastering (A Day To Remember, As I Lay Dying, Fit For An Autopsy, Bleed From Within).

ABOUT IANWILL
IANWILL is a French metal band based between Paris and the north of the country, blending metalcore with death metal influences. Their sound combines heavy, melodic songwriting with a raw and sharp edge.
After releasing two EPs that helped define their early direction, the band went through an important change in 2017 with a new lineup. This marked a turning point, leading to a more refined, technical, and personal style.
Since then, IANWILL has played shows across France and Europe, earning a solid reputation for their intense and energetic live performances. In 2019, they released their first full-length album, One Credit Left, mixed and mastered by Florent Salfati (Homeless Records). The album gained attention within the independent metal scene and helped establish the band’s identity.
In 2025, IANWILL released the EP Echoes, mixed and mastered by HK at Vamacara Studio. The first single came out in June 2024, followed by the full EP on May 30, 2025. This release marks another step forward for the band, bringing in djent elements and more modern sounds while keeping the emotional weight and intensity they’re known for. Echoes also serves as the starting point for a new chapter, setting the tone for a full album that is currently in progress as the band continues to evolve and push their sound further.
