On February 16, the band revealed that they will release a new single, “VIYOGA”, on March 5, 2026.
Fans of Brutus, Psychonaut, The Ocean, Cult of Luna, or Julie Christmas should definitely keep an eye on this band.

About Matrass
Matrass is a quintet from Bordeaux united by two shared passions: Post-Metal and Modern Metal.
With compositions in the vein of The Ocean or Psychonaut, the band carefully balances density and elegance, supported by a clear/screamed female vocal that gives them their distinctive sound. Through these compositions, the lyrics express a relationship with the world shaped by both wonder and anxiety, exploring the individual’s inner conflicts and personal evolution.
Following their EP Inner Wars (2022), national exposure (support shows for Perturbator, Ingrina, Hypno5e, Sun Brutal Pop, and appearances at Festival 666 and Les Lunatiques), and their first album Cathedrals (2024), Matrass continues its artistic evolution. The band unveiled Gaslighting Games (2025) and released Viyoga in March 2026: a single that marks a shift toward a more direct modern metal sound, driven by particularly refined production.
