Yesterday, September 4, Sawaro brought their distinctive “Hopcore” sound to Rockerill in Charleroi, delivering a crushing and immersive performance that filled the venue from the first note to the last. The Brussels-based band blended heavy, low-end ambient metal with unmistakable ’90s influences, creating a dense and physical sound that completely took over the room.
The atmosphere was further amplified by the band’s striking light work by Jimmy. Constantly evolving with the music, the lighting shifted seamlessly between intensity and restraint, adding a cinematic quality to the performance without ever overshadowing the music itself.
Seth Abrikoos was granted permission by the band to capture their performance at Rockerill, documenting the raw energy, atmosphere, and visual intensity of Sawaro’s set from inside the venue.
