Hoewel het in tijden van lockdowns en een maalstroom aan informatie over de rondrazende pandemie bijzonder klinkt, is het geen grap. De Italiaanse hardcore formatie Locked In is terug van weggeweest. En juist nu komt Locked In na zeven jaar stilte met een EP.
Die EP gaat Not Dead Yet heten. Deze release is digitaal en direct al te beluisteren via de verschillende platforms. Check dat via deze link. Epidemic Records, wederom geen grap, is het label dat het uitbrengt. Via die platenmaatschappij komt Locked In niet alleen na zeven jaar met de EP Not Dead Yet, maar volgt er volgend jaar ook nog een andere release.

“We owe the sound of “Not Dead Yet” to the new lineup. And we put a lot of each of us into it. We remained firm on our references, but we also let ourselves explore new territories. This EP transcends everything we’ve done before and it denotes our fierce desire to come back.
In fact, we were surprised by what we were able to come up with right off the bat, because if we think about our lives now, it might not be easy to feel inspired, to put in the necessary anger and to make sometimes bold choices, but once we got into the practice room together, everything seemed to work effortlessly. Our lifeline is in some ways this EP (as well as the next one). In such a dramatic year we were looking for answers and tried to give vent to our negativity as well.”
