Voor velen is het nog een nieuwe naam, maar de impact zal groot zijn. Terra Builder is afkomstig uit Duitsland en kwam in 2023 met de debuutplaat. Solar Temple bleek een langspeler welke alles platwalst, murw beukt en vermorzeld. Ja, het is namelijk heel heftig wat deze Duitse door death en grind geïnspireerde formatie laat horen. Dat zullen zij ook gaan laten blijken tijdens Loud & Heavy in Musicon op 12 oktober. Daarom had White Room Reviews alvast een interview met Terra Builder.
Buiten het feit dat Terra Builder even de gelegenheid krijgt zich te introduceren aan de metalhead, gaat het interview ook nog over bier. Dat heeft natuurlijk alles te maken met de support van Kompaan, waardoor bier naast metal toch ook voor internationale verbroedering zorgt. Check het gesprek onder de video.
Het interview met Terra Builder
WRR: ‘For a lot of Dutch metalheads Terra Builder is a new name. So, please introduce Terra Builder.’
TB: ‘Terra Builder is a death-grind band from Münster/Germany. We founded the band during the Corona-pandemic and used this time to write songs. Some of us are or were active with Neaera, Steel Death, I The Unlord, and Neorite. However, with our new band we wanted to go in a more extreme direction. Our debut album called Solar Temple was released by Transcending Obscurity Records a year ago.’
WRR: ‘Your sound is heavy as a real heavy thing. What is your inspiration?’
TB: ‘Thank you for that. In addition to classic death metal bands, we were also influenced through the approuch of modern, more extreme bands like Altarage, Infernal Coil and Nails. Lyrically it`s all about end-time cults and humanity`s negative influence on and far beyound our planet.’
WRR: ‘Last year your debut record is released. Will the show be about that one or is there more to come?’
TB: ‘We will play six songs from our debut and one new song called “leach”. Our shows are not very long, but they are definitely intense. Expect a train to run over you.’
Beer/bier
WRR: ‘If you have to name a German beer which you think the Dutch really have to try, which one is it and why?’
TB: ‘In our Hometown there is the PINKUS- and the FINNES-brewery. Both are highly recommended. More important, which beer can you recommend to us on october 12th?’
WRR: ‘That depends on your taste, but for sure Kompaan has some nice beers you can try, like the Levensgenieter, Sticky Fingers or Badgast.’
WRR: ‘What are the plans for Terra Builder after this show?’
TB: ‘Actually we write new songs but we don’t know how long this process will go on. We definitely want to release another album and play cool shows. Next up are shows in Hamburg and Mühlheim.’
Loud & Heavy
In het najaar van 2024 valt er wat te vieren. White Room Reviews is dan vijftien jaar in de lucht en daarom wordt Loud & Heavy uitgesmeerd over twee dagen. Dat betekent twee dagen aan heavy gitaarwerk in Musicon, Den Haag. Op vrijdag 11 oktober vindt de pre-party plaats met The Dirty Denims, Dikke Dennis & De Røckers en Razorblade Messiah. Een dag later zal er uit een nog steviger vaatje worden getapt. Triagone, Terra Builder, Anatomy Of I, Ten Ton John, Scream Bloody Death en Nox Aeterna zullen dan los gaan op de bühne van Musicon.
Dit alles gebeurt weer in samenwerking met Kompaan, het beste Haagse biertje, en Saramacca Food. Daarbij zal wederom €1 per ticket gedoneerd worden aan de Voedselbank Haaglanden. Tickets voor deze shows op vrijdag 11 zaterdag 12 oktober zijn te koop via de website van Musicon.
