Een introductie heeft ze niet meer nodig, maar dat betekent niet dat ze het rustig aan gaat doen. Ondanks dat het alweer 2007 was toen ze met het album This Is The Life, waarop naast de gelijknamige titeltrack onder andere ook ‘Mr. Rock ’n Roll’ stond, kwam, is ze nog steeds voortvarend met het maken van muziek. Misschien heeft het wel net wat langer geduurd dan gewoon, maar er komt dus een nieuw album. Van dat album heeft Amy MacDonald een nieuwe track online gezet.
Die nieuwe track van Amy MacDonald is genaamd ‘Forward’. Die song is dus afkomstig van Is This You’ve Been Waiting For?. Die langspeler verschijnt op 11 juli via Infectious. Hopelijk is de titel van het album deze Schotse artieste niet sarcastisch bedoeld richting de fans. Check die nieuw song hier.

Amy MacDonald laat zelf over de nieuwe track het volgende weten: “I was consumed by the constant bad news cycle, which seems to have been a thing since covid, it’s just one thing after another – no jobs, bills going up, another war. So in the past few years, I’ve actually switched off a bit, because really all you can keep doing is put one foot in front of the other, and try not to get too bogged down by the things you can’t control”.

Tournee in 2026
Amy MacDonald gaat in 2026 ook weer uitgebreid op tournee. Nederland staat dan onder andere tweemaal op de planning. Die gehele Europese tournee zal plaatsvinden in februari van dat jaar. Check hieronder alle data van die tournee, waarop ongetwijfeld deze nieuw track ook te horen zal zijn.
