Dark Funeral kondigt livealbum ‘A Beast To Praise’ aan

De Zweedse black metal band Dark Funeral kondigt dus met trots de release aan van hun langverwachte en nieuwste livealbum aan, welke A Beast To Praise zal gaan heten. Het album verschijnt wereldwijd via Century Media Records op 21 augustus 2026.

A Beast To Praise is in 2022 opgenomen tijdens een show van Dark Funeral te Fållan in Stockholm. Het bevat de live-set van Dark Funeral welke 13 nummers en bijna 70 minuten aan speeltijd omvat. De show stond in het teken van hun nieuwste studio-album We Are The Apocalypse. Als voorproefje is ‘The Arrival Of Satan’s Empire’ online gezet. Check die track hier.

Lord Ahriman laat weten: “‘A Beast To Praise’ (Live at Fållan, Stockholm) captures a very important moment in the history of Dark Funeral — not only the live release ritual for ‘We Are The Apocalypse’, but also our return to the stage after years of silence during the pandemic. That night at Fållan was intense in every possible way. The energy in the room, the fire, the audience and the atmosphere all came together into something far beyond an ordinary concert. This release is the immortal document of that night.

“With the release of this live album and the upcoming European touring cycle in the fall of 2026, we now close the chapter surrounding ‘We Are The Apocalypse’. At the same time, we are already deeply focused on the next era of Dark Funeral and hard at work creating new material for what will become our next studio album, planned for release in 2027. Tournee met Behemoth en Dimmu Borgir

In het najaar gaat Dark Funeral ook door Europa reizen. De band zal dan namelijk samen met Behemoth en Dimmu Borgir op pad gaan. Die tournee zal Nederland op 18 oktober aandoen. Dan spelen de bands namelijk in de Main Stage te Den Bosch. Belgïe staat vooralsnog niet op het programma. Check alle data hieronder.
