Loyalty Ends Here dives deeper into darkness with new single “COLORS”

Leestijd: 2 minuten

Dutch metalcore band Loyalty Ends Here returns with their latest single and videoclip “COLORS”, released on March 18. Where their previous material explored suffocating domestic despair, the band now takes a more layered and intense approach: delving into the psychological aftermath of trauma and the many forms it can take.
“COLORS” expands on the narrative introduced in “A House That Swallows Hope”, shifting focus to what comes next. The track explores how pain lingers and transforms, presenting emotions as vivid, almost tangible colors. Each shade represents a different facet of inner struggle (from anxiety and fear to suppressed rage) highlighting how deeply these experiences can shape everyday life.

Sonically, the band pushes their sound further into aggressive territory. Drawing clear inspiration from acts like As I Lay Dying, Trivium, and Lamb of God, “COLORS” delivers crushing riffs, relentless drumming, and explosive breakdowns, paired with a fierce vocal performance that amplifies the track’s emotional weight.
The accompanying videoclip reinforces the song’s themes through striking, surreal imagery. A diverse cast is confronted with manifestations of their own inner demons: shadows come alive, mirrors fracture into distorted reflections, and colors bleed across skin like open wounds. The result is a raw and unfiltered visual experience that mirrors the song’s core message: facing your inner struggles is painful, but necessary for change.

Following their win at the 2023 Wacken Metal Battle NL and a series of shows across the Netherlands and Belgium, Loyalty Ends Here continues to build momentum. “COLORS” marks a bold step forward and offers a glimpse into the band’s upcoming EP cycle, which promises further exploration of themes like loss, betrayal, and rebirth.
