Het zijn mooie tijden voor de liefhebbers van de machtige hardrockers van Firewind. De band heeft namelijk een nieuwe single online, een nieuwe plaat is op komst en daarbij gaan de Grieken ook nog eens uitgebreid op tournee door Europa, de UK en de VS.
Die nieuwe single van Firewind heet ‘Fallen Angel’. Gus G en zijn kompanen. hebben daarmee de derde single van de nieuwe plaat online. Gus G zegt daarover: “Fallen Angel” is a song about the eternal battle between good and evil, a song about the temptations of life. There’s been so many interpretations of all this. Working again with director Rainer “ZIPP” Franze, we gave a biblical touch on the visuals and there’s even some choreography going on, for your viewing pleasure. Musically, I feel there’s a good balance of modern and classic Metal elements which is where Firewind should be in 2024.” Check die single hier.
Nieuw album
Die nieuwe single van Firewind komt dus van de nieuwe plaat. Dat album zal Stand United gaan heten. Die release zal in de verschillende uitgaves op 1 maart van dit jaar uitkomen. Dat gebeurt via AFM Records. Over die nieuwe plaat zegt de iconische gitarist: “I wouldn’t exactly call ‘Stand United’ a classic concept album, but the album title indicates what we’re about thematically. This world seems to be getting more and more out of balance, what with environmental disasters, the pandemic, the wars currently raging all over the globe. In such times, it’s more important than ever for mankind to stand close together instead of fighting each other. That’s what ‘Stand United’ is about!”
Tournee, ook naar Nederland
Ter promotie van Stand United zal Firewind ook op tournee gaan dus. Daarbij zal de band Nederland wel aandoen, te weten in De Pul te Uden, en België vooralsnog niet. Wie weet komt dat nog, want er zijn nog data tijdens deze tournee niet gevuld. Hieronder alle data.
