Oceans Covert op 'Cover Me In Darkness'

De post-death metal band Oceans gooit het over een andere boeg. Voor hun aankomende EP spelen zij louter covers. Die EP zal de naam krijgen Cover Me In Darkness. De release is al sneller dan gedacht: 2 augustus. Op die dag komt deze cover EP uit van Oceans.

Op Cover Me In Darkness speelt Oceans nummers van Deftones, Radiohead, Alice In Chains en Alessia Cara. De tracklist ziet er dan ook als volgt uit:
01. Scars to Your Beatiful (ALESSIA CARA) feat. Anna Murphy
02. My Own Summer (DEFTONES)
03. Creep (RADIOHEAD)
04. Would (ALICE IN CHAINS)

Zanger Timo Rotten hierover: “Some time ago I saw some girl on Instagram singing Creep by Radiohead with her acoustic guitar. I was devastated. It was so emotional that I totally lost it. So we came up with the idea of doing this whole EP consisting of song-covers with really moving lyrics. Each of us chose one song to put on the EP, so it really represents OCEANS in its entirety. I think it’s the perfect appetizer for our debut album, to say the least. Some moments on this EP really have me at my darkest.”

Overigens is het coveren niet geheel nieuw voor Oceans. De band speelde eerder ook al ‘The Last Day On Earth’ van Marilyn Manson in voor hun voorgaande EP.
