With just one week remaining until their fifth album drops, Rivers Ablaze have unveiled A Mass Grave of Trauma (The Ghost of Blood-soaked Memoirs), the second single from Inexternal Dread, which will be released on March 27, 2026 via Italian label Inertial Music.
Building on the momentum of their first single, Silent Orbit, the track demonstrates Rivers Ablaze’s seamless navigation across black metal, death metal, and doom-tinged passages. The band favors unconventional song structures and mood-driven progression over technical showmanship, with vocals that shift between subdued intensity and raw abrasion, carrying a worn, almost grunge-like texture that complements the record’s dark, brooding atmosphere. Together with Silent Orbit, this new single offers a glimpse into the world of Inexternal Dread.

ABOUT RIVERS ABLAZE
Rivers Ablaze is an experimental progressive blackened death metal band, founded in 2019 as the solo project of Budapest-based guitarist Márton Kertész (Márton Kertész). In 2022, the project evolved into a fully realized live band, featuring prominent members of the Hungarian underground metal scene.
From its very first year, Rivers Ablaze made a strong impact on the local scene, performing at major underground festivals and iconic venues in Hungary, including Fekete Zaj Festival, Lowland Festival, HellVill Festival, as well as multiple shows at Dürer Kert, A38 Ship, and Analog Music Hall.
In 2024, the band embarked on their first European tour alongside Sear Bliss, completing 10 shows across 7 countries: Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
