Zojuist heeft de populaire Schotse post-rock band Mogwai hun tiende studioplaat As The Love Continues aangekondigd. Deze nieuwe plaat, die Every Country’s Sun uit 2017 opvolgt, verschijnt op 19 februari ’21 via Rock Action Records. As The Love Continues kan via deze link alvast als pre-order en pre-save worden besteld via deze link.
De release, die exact 25 jaar na hun debuut single Tuner/Lower uit komt, verschijnt digitaal, maar ook op CD en dubbel vinyl LP. Daarnaast komt er ook een special edition box-set beschikbaar die uit een CD, gekleurd dubbel vinyl LP, een single vinyl met daarop 5 album demo tracks en een fotoboek bestaat.
Eerste single
Tegelijk met de aankondiging van deze tiende studioplaat, heeft Mogwai ook hun eerste single ‘Dry Fantasy’ uitgebracht. Die single kan hieronder gecheckt worden. Hierover zeggen ze:
“Dry Fantasy is the first single to be taken from the record. It’s a celestial track centred around a reverberating synth repetition, which reaches a state of dreamlike grandeur as guitars and bass drift in and out of the track.”
