'Nerv(e)' nieuwe single Rise Of The Northstar

Nog geen jaar geleden, om wat preciezer te zijn, november 2025, verscheen Chapter 04: Red Falcon Super Battle! Neo Paris War!!. Die langspeler van Rise Of The Northstar maakte eens te meer duidelijk dat hun eigen insteek op de metal nog steeds vol furie en energie zat. Nu volgt er al nieuwe muziek. Rise Of The Northstar heeft namelijk een nieuwe single online gezet.

Die nieuwe single van Rise Of The Northstar is genaamd ‘Nerv(e)’. Dat kersverse nummer komt een paar dagen voordat het gezelschap op tournee door het eigen Frankrijk gaat. Ongetwijfeld gaat deze knaller dan ook onderdeel van de set uitmaken. Check ‘Nerv(e)’ hier.

« NERV(E) came together during the writing sessions for our fourth album, “C4:RFSB!NPW!!”. Back then, it was simply called “Song 27,” but I didn’t have time to finish it before the album was released. We want to give our fans something new before the end of the year, purely for the love of riffs and because this is what we love doing : writing great songs. We are free and independent, so we’re making the most of it.

The song explores the feeling of constantly having to bottle things up within an increasingly harsh system. It draws a parallel with the main characters of Evangelion, who are “used” by a secret military organization called NERV, subjected to violence beyond their control and thrown into a conflict far greater than themselves. “Calm like a bomb,” as Rage Against the Machine wrote in 1999. That line fits this track perfectly. For the pre-chorus, I tried to push myself to my absolute limit as I evoke this sense of an imminent internal explosion… Hence the T-shirt I’m wearing in the video.

Directed by Pavel Trebukhin (B2B, FALCON), the video follows a simple concept : five musicians armed with their instruments, ready to explode. Nothing else. Combined with the production work of Flo from LANDMVRKS, who did a brilliant job of helping us shape the song intelligently, as well as his high-quality mixing and mastering, the result is a track that perfectly embodies what ROTNS is in 2026 : A Metal band. »

Afgelopen zomer denderde Rise Of The Northstar vol overtuiging over vele festivals heen. White Room Reviews zag hen onder andere de Helldorado op Alcatraz met gemak van begin tot eind in beweging krijgen. Het was eigentijds, het beukt en het is van begin tot eind ongekend energiek. Vitia en zijn mannen waren daar eens te meer een regelrechte sensatie, zoals altijd.
