Het is heter dan welke Spaanse peper dan ook en ruiger dan de onherbergzame binnenlanden van hun thuisland: Angelus Apatrida. De koningen van de uit Spanje afkomstige thrash metal vlammen als geen ander. Angelus Apatrida heeft nu voor ‘Childhood’s End’ een video op het wereldwijde web gezet.
‘Childhood’s End’ mag dan qua video wel nieuw zijn op de tijdlijn van Angelus Apatrida; het nummer is het niet. Bijna een jaar geleden kwam Angelus Apatrida met de plaat die simpelweg Angelus Apatrida heette. Op die zevende langspeler van dit gezelschap is het nummer al te vinden. Door corona heeft de groep natuurlijk veel minder kunnen spelen, waardoor deze video met recht deze plaat nog even in de spotlight zet. Check it out op deze locatie.
Reactie Angelus Apatrida
“We tried to capture the ferocity of the music and the rawness of the lyrics and put them together in a movie alike videoclip. Our songs are sometimes full of living experiences and they let feelings go out, sometimes we use them to channel our deepest fears and ghosts. And as we can see on movies and TV serials, we think it’s needed to normalize it and show with naturalness tough situations we all see and even suffer in real life.
We all deserve to live with dignity, and when time should come we all deserve to die in a dignified way.”
Dit jaar heeft Angelus Apatrida al veel shows op de planning staan. Een groot deel daarvan is echter in Spanje zelf. Nederland en België staan nog niet op het programma. Om Angelus Apatrida in de buurt te zien, moet men naar Duitsland, waar de band op enkele festivals zal spelen.
