Nieuw album Wiegedood aanstaande, single online

Blackmetal band WIEGEDOOD uit België zal deze vrijdag (14 januari 2022) aankomen met een nieuw album “There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road”. Om in de sfeer te komen van dit nieuwe album, kan je alvast naar Carousel luisteren. Die track is eerder deze maand al uitgebracht via Century Media Records. De band vertelt: “One riff descending round and round into the abyss like a sputtering carousel. Pulling and pushing downwards at the same time.”

‘Dit album wordt iets anders’, zo kondigde de band aan: “’There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road’” focuses on the filthiest and most disgusting parts of human nature and society. It steers clear from the typical Black Metal themes and concepts, instead zoning in on the struggle we lead within, trying to overcome the fact we are all made from that same filth. Exploring places the previous trilogy didn’t even scratch the surface of, both lyrically and musically. A first-hand look into pure disgust, a psychotic ride with synths, tape-recorders, hot club jazz and distressing samples. A definite switch from our previous work, a dark turn into something unexpected and unwelcome.”

Over de band

Wiegedood bestaat uit drie bandleden: Gilles Demolder (gitarist), Wim Coppers (drummer) en Levy Seynaeve (vocalist en gitarist). In 2015 bracht Wiegedood via Century Media Records hun eerste album “De Doden Hebben Het Goed” uit. Later in 2018 kwamen ze met “De Doden Hebben Het Goed II” en “De Doden Hebben Het Goed III”.

Omdat hun Europa + UK tour gecanceld is vanwege covid, heeft de band een nieuwe merchandiselijn uitgebracht, wat op hun site verkrijgbaar is.
